During the mid to late eighties He formed a band with his two best friends Gavin Mitchell and Nathaniel Smith.  "SNAG" (Stu, Nat And Gav) performed cover versions of Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" and Doctor Feelgood's "Milk & Alcohol".
